Our Vision
Compelled by Christ's love and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we will become a community of Jesus followers who:
- are a vibrant, diverse multigenerational community of people who experience life as the family of Christ.
- are serving our congregation and community with our finances, through caring ministry and connecting with children.
- have a place of our own from which to expand these ministries and their impact.
Our Gathering Place

Meet our Pastor
Dave Hall is Joy’s pastor. He was born in Colorado Springs and spent most of his growing up years there while also living in Wesel, Germany and Lawton, OK.
He met his wife, Stacy, at Concordia University - Nebraska and they were married at Trinity Lutheran in Miles City, Stacy’s home church.
They are blessed with two adult children, who live in Pueblo and Ft. Collins, CO.
If you think they’re empty nesters, guess again. They have a dog who is a schnauzer poodle mix (aka schnoodle) named Tiny, who is blind.
Stacy and Dave enjoy hiking, quiet Friday nights with pizza and a movie, and getting out to enjoy live music. Dave also enjoys rooting for the Denver Broncos.
Dave earned a BA in Communication/Theater Arts from Concordia University in Seward, NE an a M. Div. from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He has served congregations in Leavenworth, Colby, and Topeka, KS as well as Colorado Springs, and Boulder, CO.

Sounds of the Season: The Sound of Salvation
December 21, 2025 - On the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we listen for The Sound of Salvation in Zechariah’s song from Luke 1. In a world filled with fear and noise, God’s promise breaks through with mercy, forgiveness, and peace. This message invites us to trust in God’s faithfulness, hear salvation anew, and follow Jesus on the path of peace.

Sounds of the Season: The Sound of Joy
December 14, 2025 - What does joy sound like? In this Advent message, we listen to Mary’s song—the Magnificat—and discover a joy rooted not in comfort or ease, but in God’s faithfulness. Mary rejoices because God has seen her, acted for her, and kept promises made long before her time.
This message explores joy as a response to who God is and what God has done: lifting up the lowly, filling the hungry, humbling the proud, and bringing salvation into the world through Jesus. As people of the promise, we are invited to remember God’s work in our own lives, recognize His blessings, and join Mary in glorifying the God who brings true and lasting joy.

Sounds of the Season: The Sound of Blessing
December 7, 2025 - This week, we explore what a blessing really is and what it sounds like. In the angel’s announcement to Mary, God speaks blessing through grace, promise, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit. Mary responds with trust, and the story overflows with joy as she and Elizabeth celebrate God’s work together.
Blessing isn’t something we earn—it’s something God gives. Through Jesus, God speaks blessing over His people: grace that surprises us, faith that strengthens us, and joy that fills us. During Advent, we are invited to listen for God’s blessing, trust him with our questions, and become a voice of blessing to others.

Sounds of the Season: The Sound of Promise
November 30, 2025 - Advent begins with the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth—faithful people carrying deep disappointment. Into their hopelessness, God speaks a promise: a child, a prophet, and the beginning of something far greater. Their son, John, will prepare the way for Jesus, the One in whom all of God’s promises are fulfilled.
This season reminds us that God still speaks hope into impossible places. His promises are trustworthy, and our hope is secure in Christ—who has come, who is risen, and who will come again.

The End is the Beginning: Christ Holds All Things Together
November 23, 2025 - This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that our gratitude is rooted not just in our blessings, but in the One who gives them. In a world full of distractions and pressures, Colossians 1 points us back to Jesus—the image of the invisible God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Through Him we are rescued, forgiven, and held together.
Christ is in all. All is forgiven. And all will be well.

The End is the Beginning: When the Stones Fall
November 16, 2025 - Life can feel steady—until the “stones” start to fall. Jesus warned His disciples that even the strongest structures can crumble, and that following Him would bring conflict, loss, and uncertainty. But He also promised this: moments of collapse can become moments of testimony.
In this message, we explore how God meets us in times of crisis, how His strength shows up in our weakness, and why Jesus—the rejected stone who became the cornerstone—gives us hope when everything else shakes.
Watch to discover:
• Why the fall of the Temple mattered
• How to see obstacles as opportunities
• How Jesus sustains us when the world crumbles
• How your story of God’s faithfulness can encourage others
When the stones fall, Jesus is our strength and our beginning.

The End is the Beginning: God of the Living
November 9, 2025 - Ever try to explain streaming TV to someone who grew up with only 3 channels?
That’s kind of what Jesus did with the Sadducees — they couldn’t imagine resurrection life because they were stuck in a black-and-white world.
In this message, “God of the Living,” we explore what it means to trust a Savior who brings color, depth, and new life — not just someday, but right now.
